This editions race took advantage of the great potential that Maramures Mountains have to offer. Our partner was the National Park (Parcul National Muntii Maramuresului) and the Base Camp was set in a cabin at the end of Poienile de sub Munte village. The route lead the competitors from Farcau and Pop Ivan Peack, over Pietrosul Bardagului and Toroioaga, trough Vaser Valley up to Cearcanu and Prislop Pass. For the first time the route was free to choose, the teams were only supposed to respect the checkpoints order, not a compulsory trail inbetween them. For the Rope Event a 160 meters rappel was fitted from Piatra Soimului ( Hawk’s Rock ) over Vaser Valley.

Fourth edition brought us to a wilder area: Rodnei Mountains for trekking and Maramures Mountains for mountainbike, with a rope event next to Cascada Cailor (Horses’s Waterfall) – a 200m tyrolean traverse. The route included most of the high peaks and Rodnei’s Ridge plus the recently flood devastated Vaser Valley, giving a strong wild flavour to the mountainbike event. We had many participants from all over the country.

Short route started from Baia Mare Railway Station, but cronometers were started only at the base of Cetatea Seini Hill. From here teams were trekking up to Dealul Cetatii Peak – Baita Valley then on bikes Ulmoasa Peak – Plestioara Peak – kayakinng on Firiza Lake – rope event with a tyrolene at Limpedea Quarry – Ignis Peak – Izvoare Resort.

Long route started the same at the base of Cetatea Seini Hill then Dealul Cetatii Peak – Pietroasa Peak – then biking to Limpedea Qaryy with a brake for the rope event – Ignis Peak- Izvoare Resort. Here teams could choose to go on biking and do orientation before finish or do the orientation at this point and then continue with the mountainbike event. The bike route was: Boului Meadow – Neteda Pass – Rotunda Pass – Bloaja Valley – Magureni – Preluca Veche – Manastur Deal – Preluca Noua – Copalnic Manastur – Carbunari – Dumbvravita – Rus – Unguras – Tautii de Sus – Chiuzbaia – Ignis Peak – Izvoare Resort.

First edition was a huge succes, so the second one took place in the same year! This time we had two categories short route and long route.

Short route started in Izvoare Resort – Ignis Peak – rope event on Stanca Dracului (Devil’s Cliff) a 90 meters rappel  – 1,5 km kayaking on Firiza Lake – Ignis Peak – Izvoare Resort. In this point teams could choose between the orientation event and continuing the bike trail to Plesca Peak – Colibi Meadow – Sapanta Valley – Dumitru’s Meadow – Stedea – Izvoare Resort, having to do orientation at the end.

Long route offered Izvoare Resort – Ignis Peak – 1,5 km  kayaking on Firiza Lake – 90 m rappel on Stanca Dracului – Pintea’s Inn – Boului Meadow – Mogosa Lake – Ignis Peak – Izvoare Resort. They could also choose between doing the 6 km orientation event now or in the end , after more mountainbiking Plesca Peak – Colibi Meadow – Sapanta Valley – Dumitru’s Meadow – Stedea – Tatarului Gorge – heading towards Mara village, climbing towards Cocosului Ridge, Boului Meadow – Izvoare Resort.

First edition was a short one, only 40 km, more of a trial, to see how people in the city and neighbouring areas would respond to such a sport event.

We had the following route: Baia Mare’s Park – mountainbike up along Usturoiului Valley to the first checkpoint. Then orientation event (5km), rope event (70 m tyrolene  next to Marului Meadow), a bike route including Plestioara Peack – Romana Valley – Firiza Dam. Here was a kayak event (1,5 km) then on the bikes again towards Baraj Cabin, trough Dia Pass to the finish line in Baia Mare’s Park.
